Misnested tags with diff parameter

It appears that when this template is used with the diff parameter, the template generates two lint errors:

• Missing end tag (<span>)
• Misnested tag with different rendering in HTML5 and HTML4 (<span>)

This affects the following pages:

• Talk:board
• Talk:Hezbollah
• Talk:army
• Talk:curveball
• Talk:flounder
• Talk:penny
• Talk:tern
• Talk:學
• Talk:均

Misnested tag with different rendering in HTML5 and HTML4 is a high priority lint error, so attention should be given to fix this bug. —Anomalocaris (talk) 19:46, 27 June 2018 (UTC)

@Anomalocaris: The template is already slated for deletion, but I haven't gotten around to it because of the annoyance of removing it from all the talk pages. Please just remove the ones that produced lint errors, and if the talk page has no other content, you can put {{d|empty talk page}} on it. —Μετάknowledge^{discuss/deeds} 20:33, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
