Template talk:RQ:Homer Pope et al Odyssey
We should allow this template to be used without mentioning the Volume. See the quote at apply, for example, which has the book number but not the volume. There's an error message saying "please specify volume". The template should know that if it is book X, it's gonna be Volume III and add that information anyway. Saves a bit of typing, you know. --Elvinrust (talk) 22:18, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

author's notes as quotes.
[edit]@SGconlaw A few times, there is a quote in Wiktionary from this book, not from the story itself but from the author's notes. One such example is at account (men of account), from a footnote to Book XIV. I'm not sure if this template is currently flexible enough to include that quote, so I'm leaving it untouched for now. --Elvinrust (talk) 15:48, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Elvinrust: I added a
|section=
parameter. As indicated in the documentation, you can use it to indicate you are quoting from a footnote thus:|section=footnote
