As per[1], the source is identified as follows:

"The Modern Greek Dictionary is a modern and comprehensive definitional, orthographic, and etymological dictionary of Modern Greek. It was published in December 1998 by the Institute for Modern Greek Studies of the Artistotle University of Thessaloniki, [...]".

Level of detail

For the record, the level of detail recently put into the template is this:

• word in Triantafyllides, Hidryma (1998) Λεξικό της κοινής νεοελληνικής [Dictionary of Standard Modern Greek], Institute for Modern Greek Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

I find it very excessive. If people are adamant on having the detail, I would be fine with putting it into a mouseover title; this could make everyone happy. I also think that if it can be ascertained that what is online really matches the 1998 publication, that year should be visible even without the mouseover. --Dan Polansky (talk) 17:05, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

@Sarri.greek: Thank you. Yes, I noticed the same thing about their IPA transcriptions, it's a bit annoying. What I really like about this dictionary is its detailed etymologies, with sound changes (!). --Barytonesis (talk) 13:13, 31 October 2017 (UTC)

Etymologies were entrusted to Evangelos Petrounias (1934‑2016)

Hidryma

The title: Triantafyllides, Hidryma (1998) ... Maybe ίδρυμα is a difficult word?

• Their name as they translate it in eng. is Institute for Modern Greek Studies [2] which is also named after Triantafyllides. I would write:
