@Sgconlaw, @Gorgehater: I see a number of templates have been created (e.g., {{RQ:Milton Samson}} which is redundant (though not immediately obviously) with {{RQ:Milton Paradise Regained}}). The new templates also don't link to online editions or provide much specific detail at all. There are some 19th-century collected editions, a 1645 collection of poems (and a reprint thereof), and a 1673 collection. I propose deprecating and removing most of the existing new templates, and fixing the remainder, as follows.

Let me know if you have any strong opinions here; I'll start by making {{RQ:Milton Poems}}, and go forward from there. grendel|khan 00:23, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, @Grendelkhan: thanks for your suggestion. I agree with your proposed approach – as far as possible try to link to a first or early edition. (If one isn't available at Google Books or the Internet Archive, try the HathiTrust Digital Library too.) You could turn the newly created quotation templates into redirects to the main ones, or have the call the main ones. For example, {{RQ:Milton Samson}} can be a redirect to {{RQ:Milton Paradise Regained}} or call the main template and pass parameters to it. — SGconlaw (talk) 09:05, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Excellent. I'll strike through items in the list as I handle each of them. grendel|khan 19:59, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
OK, that works. I'll follow the progress of this stuff and try not to break too much in the process. --Vitoscots (talk) 21:01, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
