Usage
Synopsis
This template is used for inflection lines at Cantonese entries whose headwords are in Chinese characters. It wraps these characters in the appropriate script template (whether Hans, Hant}, or Hani) for readability, and also provides a convenient and standardized way to link to other representations of a headword.
Parameters
This template takes the following parameters, all of them optional:
- {{{sim}}} — optional — the title's simplified-Chinese counterpart
- {{{tra}}} — optional — the headword's traditional-Chinese counterpart
- {{{jyut}}} — optional — a Jyutping representation of the headword
- {{{wg}}} — optional — a Wade-Giles romanization of the headword
- {{{y}}} — optional — a Yale Romanization of the headword
- {{{cat}}} — optional — a category, for example cat=noun produces Category:Cantonese nouns
