This template may be used for detecting template substitution.

Place <includeonly>{{subst:</includeonly>substcheck<includeonly>}}</includeonly> in the template markup. During rendering, this may expand into one of three strings:

• SUBST if the invoking template is being substituted
• substcheck if the invoking template is being viewed directly
• {{subst:substcheck}} if the invoking template is being transcluded.
