The name "snh" is a shortcut for "syllabic, [but] not hyphenable". It is to be used in {{hyphenation}} to indicate that the preceding and following elements constitute separate syllables but their hyphenation is discouraged, as only a single vowel would remain at the beginning or the end of a word, or it is only one vowel apart from an existing division between two constituents of a compound word.
