This page contains usage information, categories, interwiki links and other content describing the template.

This template creates a declension table for Old Irish o/ā-stem adjectives. It takes one positional and six named parameters, all optional. If the stem of the adjective never changes and is identical to the page name, no parameters need be specified. For example, at fír write simply:

{{sga-decl-adj-o-a}}

If the adjective undergoes syncope before the vowel-initial plural endings -a, -u, -aib, resulting in a broad consonant cluster, then |1= may be used to specify this syncopated root, e.g. |1=labr at labar.

The parameters |gsm= and |dsm= can be used to specify the genitive singular masculine and dative singular masculine respectively. Either of them that is identical to the page name (or the positional parameter) can be omitted.

The parameter |apm= can be used to specify the accusative plural masculine if this is not formed simply by adding -u to the lemma form or to |1=.

The parameter |gsf= can be used to specify the genitive singular feminine if this is not formed simply by adding -e to the genitive singular masculine.

The parameter |npf= can be used to specify the nominative plural feminine/neuter (also vocative and accusative plural all genders) if this is not formed simply by adding -a to the lemma form or to |1=.

The parameter |dp= can be used to specify the dative plural (all genders) if this is not formed simply by adding -aib to the lemma form or to |1=.

Examples:

{{sga-decl-adj-o-a|labr|gsm=labair|gsf=laibre|dsm=labur}}

{{sga-decl-adj-o-a|gsm=bicc|dsm=biucc|apm=biccu}}

{{sga-decl-adj-o-a|gsm=aichir|dsm=aichiur|gsf=aichre|npf=aichrea|apm=aichriu|dp=aichrib}}
