Template:sga-decl-adj-i/documentation
This template creates a declension table for Old Irish i-stem adjectives. It takes an optional positional parameters. If the stem of the adjective never changes and is identical to the page name, no parameters need be specified. For example, at maith write simply:
{{sga-decl-adj-i}}
which renders as:
i-stem | |||
---|---|---|---|
Singular | Masculine | Feminine | Neuter |
Nominative | maith | maith | maith |
Vocative | maith | ||
Accusative | maith | maith | |
Genitive | maith | maithe | maith |
Dative | maith | maith | maith |
Plural | Masculine | Feminine/neuter | |
Nominative | maithi | maithi | |
Vocative | maithi | ||

If the lemma form is different from the page name, it can be specified with the named parameter (|head=
).
For adjectives that undergo syncope when a suffix is added, the positional parameter |1=
can be used to specify the syncopated stem, i.e. the genitive singular feminine minus -e or the nominative plural minus -i. If these forms end in -ae and -ai, then include the a as part of parameter 1. For example, at álaind write:
{{sga-decl-adj-i|áild}}
and at sainemail write:
{{sga-decl-adj-i|sainemla}}
which render as:
i-stem | |||
