This template is used to automatically generate a transliteration of Russian text. It should only be used as part of templates, not directly in entries.
This template is similar to {{xlit}} but provides additional support for certain idiosyncrasies in Russian transliteration:
- Russian adjectival -го endings are transliterated as -vo (exceptions are made for много, etc.).
- The word что (possibly accented) is transliterated što (and similarly for ничто, чтобы, чтоб).
Parameters
[edit]1=- The text to transliterate, which should be written in the given language.
noadj=- If specified, don't transliterate Russian adjectival -го endings as -vo.
noshto=- If specified, don't transliterate что as što.
sub=- If specified, should be one or more substitution expressions separated by commas, where each substitution expression is of the form FROM/TO, where FROM is a Lua pattern and TO is the corresponding replacement expression (see WT:LUA). The substitutions are applied in order and before transliteration; hence both FROM and TO should be Cyrillic expressions.
