Template:mn-noun/documentation

This is the template to use for all Mongolian nouns. Use it directly under the "Noun" header:

This template automatically adds pages to Category:Mongolian nouns. It is implemented by Module:mn-headword.

Usage

This template can take few parameters, both numbered and named. See m:Help:Template for help with templates and parameters in general.

Alternative script

To provide the spelling in the other script (Cyrillic for Mongol script entries and vice versa) put the spelling as the first argument. If there are multiple possible spellings, they may be put in as further arguments. If the word only exists in one script, or you don't have the other form, you can leave these parameters out.

(deprecated) 'm' or 'c' may be given as a first argument in order to specify the script of the other spellings (which are given as further arguments), this is maintained for back-dependency

Plural

Plurals may be indicated using pl1=, pl2=...

Declension type

Declension type can be indicated with dec=, use n for hidden-n, g for hidden-g, r for regular and m for mixed declension. If dec= is not specified, no declension information will be shown.

Headword

To override the displayed headword, use head=, generally this doesn't need to be done, in entries containing multiple words all words are automatically linked.

Categories

To add the word to Categories other that Category:Mongolian nouns cat2=, cat3= are used. these are automatically prefixed with Mongolian but need to be entered in plural.
