This template uses Module:mi-IPA to generate the IPA pronunciation of Maori words or text. If no parameter is provided, it will use the page title.

Parameters

  • {{{1}}} – The word in Maori (defaults to page title).
  • {{{stress}}} – The stress at each syllable; use the following characters:
    • Primary stress: ' (apostrophe)
    • Secondary stress: , (comma)
    • Syllable break: - (hyphen)
    • Syllable boundary: . (dot)
