This template uses Module:mi-IPA to generate the IPA pronunciation of Maori words or text. If no parameter is provided, it will use the page title.

Parameters

{{{1}}} – The word in Maori (defaults to page title).
{{{stress}}} – The stress at each syllable; use the following characters:
- Primary stress: ' (apostrophe)
- Secondary stress: , (comma)
- Syllable break: - (hyphen)
- Syllable boundary: . (dot)
