This template creates a headword line for Middle Irish nouns.

1 is the gender. It may be set to any standard gender abbreviation (m, f, n, etc.) but also to u if the gender is unknown (as is often the case with poorly-attested Middle Irish nouns). Up to two additional genders may be set with g2= and g3=.
2 is the genitive singular. If the genitive singular is unattested (and not easily deducible from forms that are attested), set this parameter to ?. An additional genitive form may be set with gen2=.
3 is the nominative plural. If the word does not occur in the plural, set this parameter to -. Up to two additional nominative plural forms may be set with pl2= and pl3=.
head is the form to be displayed in the headword line; use this if the display form is different from the page name (for example, because it contains one of the letters or , which are not used in page names for Middle Irish words.
