This is a timeline template for words with Latin quotations. Parameters:

  • old — for Old Latin, i.e. anything before 1st-century BCE
  • -100s — years of 1st-century BCE quotations
  • 0s — years of 1st-century CE quotations
  • 100s — years of 2nd-century quotations
  • 200s — (etc.)
  • 300s
  • 400s
  • 500s
  • 600s
  • 700s
  • 800s
  • 900s
  • 1000s
  • 1100s
  • 1200s
  • 1300s
  • 1400s
  • 1500s
  • 1600s
  • 1700s
  • 1800s
  • 1900s
  • 2000s

If more than one date exists for a century, separate them with <br /> tags, and they should bottom-align.

All parameters are optional. If none are given, the timeline will be blank, as it should be above. This timeline is probably not suitable for other languages than Latin, which may want longer or shorter timelines, or links back to different prior languages (or forward to later ones?).

Please feel free to gussy up this template any way that seems necessary, I'm not very good at pretty format.
