Usage

This template embeds its first argument in a non-displaying span, like so:

{{hide|This text will not be seen.}}

The usefulness of this is that even non-displaying text will influence the sorting order of wiki tables using the sortable class, and the {{hide}} template allows editors to conveniently insert invisible sorting keys at the beginning of the content of a table cell.
