Hidden template notes

[edit]

This is an auxiliary convenience template that is itself used by other convenience templates. Unlike typical templates in this category that use only one argument, this template uses three or four, while still significantly reducing the work of embedding.

  1. The first argument is the stem, up to but not including the antepenultimate vowel.
  2. The second argument should be the antepenultimate vowel with acute stress.
  3. The third argument should be the same vowel unstressed.
  4. If there is a fourth argument, it will be any consonant or consonants that exist after the antepenultimate vowel but before πολις—if this argument is omitted, it will just be empty.
