Usage
[edit]This template should only be used for Old French proper nouns. It automatically formats the head word in bold, gender, nominative singular and categories. For proper noun that do not have genders or nominative singulars, the syntax {{head|fro|proper noun}}
should be used (see Template:head/doc). The template takes the following parameters.
- 1: the gender, either m or f. For nouns taking either gender, please use
{{head}}
, as these are more complicated - 2: the nominative singular; the default for masculine nouns is {{PAGENAME}}s, while for feminine nouns it is {{PAGENAME}}.
- head: the head word in bold. Default is {{PAGENAME}}
- sort: the sort key for Category:Old French proper nouns. Default is {{PAGENAME}}
