Usage

This template is used to generate the head word in bold, the inflected forms and categories for Old French nouns. As with other part of speech templates, please do not use subst:. If you are uncomfortable with this template, please use {{head}}, our standard template for creating head words and categories.

Parameters

Parameter Function Default value (if left unspecified)
head The head word, if different from the page name, or to link to individual words {{PAGENAME}}
1 The gender. It accepts m, f or mf Category:Requests for gender in Old French entries
2 or op The oblique plural form. When 2=-, noun is listed as uncountable, but still has a nominative singular form, which is 3 {{PAGENAME}}s for masculine nouns, {{PAGENAME}}s for feminine nouns, none for mf nouns
3 or ns The nominative singular form {{PAGENAME}}s for masculine nouns, {{PAGENAME}} for feminine nouns, none for mf nouns
4 or np The nominative plural form {{PAGENAME}} for masculine nouns, {{PAGENAME}}s for feminine nouns, none for mf nouns
sort Sort key for Category:Old French nouns and Category:Old French masculine nouns (or feminine when this is the case) {{PAGENAME}}
