Template:fro-conj-oier

From Wiktionary, the free dictionary

Usage

[edit]

This template is designed to add fully formatted conjugation tables to Old French verbs ending -oier. Such verbs are generally non-standard spellings of verbs which are standardly spelled with the ending -oiier (e.g. non-standard otroier, standard otroiier). The reason for this template is that there are two stems in the forms, an unstressed ("weak") stem in -oi- and a stressed ("strong") one in -i-. See below for other related templates. It must be used under the level 4 header1 conjugation. It accepts two arguments:

  • 1: the stem of the verb minus -oi or -i. The whole verb minus -oier at the end.
  • 2: the auxiliary verb, either avoir or estre. The default is avoir.

1 conjugation header is level 5 when there are multiple etymologies for a single word
