Usage

[edit]

This template is used to format the lemma form of Middle French nouns. For plurals, please use {{head}} and {{plural of}}. This template contains the necessary meta-data to allow users who are using accelerated editing to create any grammatical forms semi-automatically. It takes the following parameters:

  • 1: the gender. The template will accept m, f or mf No default; obligatory
  • 2 or pl: the plural. This will override the automatic plural ({{PAGENAME}}s) even if the 2nd parameter is specified.
  • head: the head word in bold, for example to link to individual words. Default: {{PAGENAME}}
  • sort: the sort key for Category:Middle French nouns, for example for words containing diacritics, capital letters or ligature. Default: {{PAGENAME}}
