Usage notes
[edit]It seems likely, that this paradigm only applies to the Faroese word dóttir (“daughter”) and its derivatives. However, it has a certain pattern. Note the double consonant as the last part of the stem, which is simplified in the plural form.
- d (first part of the stem)
- ó (stem vowel singular)
- t (second part of the stem - the R is the last part, but not used as a variable here!)
- ø (umlaut in plural)
