Usage notes

[edit]

This paradigm matches Faroese words like dyr (door), which have an umlauted y in all forms except the dative and genitive and only exist in the plural. (Most likely, dyr is the only example for this class.)

  1. d (first part of the stem)
  2. y (stem vowel)
  3. r (last part of the stem)
  4. u (umlaut)
