Usage notes

[edit]

This paradigm applies to Faroese female nouns such as klógv (claw). For historical reasons, ó alternates with ógv in certain forms as well as umlauted ø in the plural.

  1. kl (first part of the stem)
  2. ó (stem vowel)
  3. gv (last part of the stem)
  4. ø (alternating vowel)
