Usage

[edit]

This template creates a declension table for Lower Sorbian neuter nouns belonging to classes 33, 34, 35, and 36 in both Jannasch's Deutsch-niedersorbisches Wörterbuch/Słownik němsko-delnjoserbski and Starosta's Dolnoserbsko-nimski słownik/Niedersorbisch-deutsches Wörterbuch, hence the name.

Class 33 includes those neuter nouns ending in:

  • -bje (genitive in -bja)
  • -mje (genitive in -mja)
  • -nje (genitive in -nja)
  • -pje (genitive in -pja)
  • -rje (genitive in -rja)
  • -wje (genitive in -wja).

Class 34 includes those neuter nouns ending in

  • -le (genitive in -la)
  • -šće (genitive in -šća)
  • -śe (genitive in -śa)
  • -źe (genitive in -źa).

Class 35 includes verbal nouns ending in -śe, which are declined the same as other neuter nouns in -śe. Class 36 includes verbal nouns ending in -nje, which are declined the same as other neuter nouns in -nje.

It takes one or two obligatory parameters, depending on the class. For class 33, 35, and 36 nouns, just list the stem (i.e. the nominative singular minus the final -je) as the only parameter. For class 34 nouns, the first parameter is the first part of the noun before the final consonant(s), and the second parameter is the stem-final consonant(s) (one of l, šć, ś, or ź), excluding the ending -e. Adding the stem-final consonant as a second parameter works for the class 33 nouns as well, but it is not necessary for them.

For example, for the class 33 word kopje, add:

====Declension====
{{dsb-decl-noun-33|kop}}

For the class 34 word lěśe, add:

====Declension====
{{dsb-decl-noun-33|lě|ś}}
