Template:ast-verb-ar/documentation
This template is designed for use with all Asturian verbs ending in -ar.
Usage
[edit]This template should be placed in all Asturian "-ar" verb sections, immediately following the ===Verb=== section header. It provides the inflection line for the entry. The template also automatically categorizes the entry in Category:Asturian verbs.
Only use this template for the lemma (infinitive) form.
As with other Wiktionary inflection templates, please do not use subst:
.
Parameters
[edit]The template requires one or two unnamed parameters:
- {{{1}}} : the participle stem without inflection ending, e.g. bail (for bailar), dex (for dexar)
- {{{2}}} : the first-person singular present indicative stem, if different from {{{1}}}, e.g. sueñ (for soñar), amues (for amosar)
The template accepts the following named parameters. All named parameters are optional.
- {{{head}}} : replaces the first display form, normally taken from the {{PAGENAME}} by default
- {{{stem}}} : replaces {{{1}}} and {{{2}}}, when present
- {{{first singular}}} : replaces the entire first-person construction (including ending); useful for irregular verbs
- {{{participle}}} : replaces the entire participle construction (including ending); useful for irregular verbs
Examples
[edit]For regular "-ar" verbs, only the first unnamed parameter is needed.
E.g., on cantar "to sing":
===Verb===
{{ast-verb-ar|cant}}
- cantar (first-person singular indicative present canto, past participle cantáu)
For regular "-ar" verbs with a stem change, both unnamed parameters are needed.
E.g., on soñar "to dream":
===Verb===
{{ast-verb-ar|soñ|sueñ}}
- soñar (first-person singular indicative present sueño, past participle soñáu)
