From Wiktionary, the free dictionary

The {{{2}}} changes to Lua error in Module:debug at line 160: Invalid input: either provide a valid, single consonant to palatalize, or supply the palatalized form manually.
in an instance of the Slavic first palatalization.[[Category:Lua error in Module:parameters at line 573: Parameter 1 should be a valid language code; the value "{{{1}}}" is not valid. See WT:LOL. terms affected by the Slavic first palatalization]]

Used to generate the basic string "The <1> changes to <2> in an instance of the Slavic first palatalization.", for use in etymologies of Slavic languages. This will also put the page in a category of terms affected by the first palatalization in that language, unless this is turned off by passing nocat=1.

Parameters

[edit]
|1= (required)
The language code of the term which is affected, i.e. of the entry for which it's being used.
|2= (required)
The letter or string of letters that is affected by the palatalization. Valid inputs are к, г, and х, but you can input anything else, as long as you also supply {{{3}}}.
|3= (optional)
The letter or string of letters to which {{{2}}} was palatalized. Used for strings that aren't just a single letter (if you want to demonstrate the change for an entire morpheme, for example). It's only optional if your input is one of the recognized, single letters; otherwise, please specify this second parameter as well.
|nocap= (optional)
Makes the 'the' at the start of the sentence start with a lowercase letter ('the' instead of 'The').
|nocat= (optional)
Prevents the page from being categorized.
