Template:U:en:HM and HMG/documentation

A usage note for entries using the prefixes HM and HMG, noting that whether the acronym expands to mean "His/Her Majesty" or "His/Her Majesty's)", it is still spelt HM or HMG, and not HM's or HMG's.

How to use

In entries with existing Usage notes, it should be included by adding a new line like this at the appropriate point:

{{U:en:HM and HMG}}

An initial asterisk should not be included. If there is a single preexisting usage note not bulleted with an asterisk, it should be bulleted at the same time this template is added so the old and new usage notes meld together properly.

In entries without existing Usage notes, it should be included by adding a new section like this at the appropriate point:

====Usage notes====
{{U:en:HM and HMG}}

Then, in either case, if the entry does not have a preexisting References section, add (at the bottom of the English language section, but before any categories):

===References===
<references/>

If the entry already includes references, no change is needed; it will pick up the references from this template automatically.
