This template generates a usage note to inform the reader about the prescriptively correct spelling of multi-word German unadapted borrowings from English.

The template generates both the prescriptively correct as well as the proscribed spellings but only links to the latter if they already exist as entries.

nn is short for noun-noun. Example:

In Shoppingcenter: {{U:de:unadapted|nn|Shopping-Center}}

In Shopping-Center: {{U:de:unadapted|nn}}

Both yield:

'an

'an is short for adjective-noun (with a stress mark on the adjective). Example:

In Blackbox: {{U:de:unadapted|'an|Black Box}}

In Black Box: {{U:de:unadapted|'an}}

Both yield:

a'n

a'n is short for adjective-noun (with a stress mark on the noun). Example:

In Top Ten: {{U:de:unadapted|a'n}}

Which yields:

vp

vp is short for verb-particle. The particle must be written in lower case. Example:

In Blackout: {{U:de:unadapted|vp|Black-out}}

In Black-out: {{U:de:unadapted|vp}}
