This template is used on pages that have many minor subheadings to list only the major headings in the table of contents of a page, as well as indicating where on the page the table of contents should be displayed.
If a page using this template is viewed using the Vector 2022 skin (which moves the table of contents to a sidebar) the template will have no effect.
Parameters
[edit]|1=or|limit=(optional)- A number specifying the depth beyond (and at) which headings will not be included in the table of contents. Defaults to 3, meaning the highest level of headings and their immediate subheadings will be displayed, but no others.
