Use this template to create a quotation from the Gothic Bible.

The parameters are as follows:

• |1= is the book of the Bible. The possible values are:
  • Matthew
  • Mark
  • Luke
  • John
  • Rom or Romans
  • 1Cor or 1 Corinthians
  • 2Cor or 2 Corinthians
  • Gal or Galatians
  • Eph or Ephesians
  • Phil or Philippians
  • Col or Colossians
  • 1Th or 1 Thessalonians
  • 2Th or 2 Thessalonians
  • 1Tim or 1 Timothy
  • 2Tim or 2 Timothy
  • Titus
  • Philemon
  • Neh or Nehemiah
• |2= is the chapter of the book
• |3= is the verse of the chapter
• |text= is the Gothic text, entered in the Gothic alphabet. If you want to enter it in transliteration (for example, if you want to copy and paste it from s:Bible, Gothic, Ulfila), then please enclose the transliteration in {{subst:chars|got|{{subst:lc:}}}}.
• |t= is the English translation, preferably taken from the King James Version, as that version is in the public domain and, like the Gothic, is a fairly literal translation of the Greek original, meaning that it usually matches up very well with the Gothic. If the KJV translation does not match up well with the Gothic, you can use a different Bible translation or translate the Gothic directly yourself. At any rate, please indicate the English language version in parentheses after the translation.
• |lit= for a literal translation of the Gothic
• |subst= to override the automatic transliteration of an individual word
