Usage

[edit]

This template creates a reference to de Búrca’s The Irish of Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo. It takes two optional parameters.

  • |section= specifies the section number.
  • |page= specifies the page number.

For example:

* {{R:ga:Tourmakeady|section=203}}
* {{R:ga:Tourmakeady|section=203|page=38}}
* {{R:ga:Tourmakeady|page=38–39}}

renders as:

  • de Búrca, Seán (1958) The Irish of Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo: A Phonemic Study, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies, →ISBN, section 203
  • de Búrca, Seán (1958) The Irish of Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo: A Phonemic Study, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies, →ISBN, section 203, page 38
  • de Búrca, Seán (1958) The Irish of Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo: A Phonemic Study, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies, →ISBN, pages 38–39

Note that de Búrca uses the symbols e i o u to indicate an unstressed vowel between two consonants; all other authors use /ə/ in this context. It seems that this is an idiosyncrasy of de Búrca’s analysis rather than an actual difference in pronunciation between Tourmakeady and all other dialects, so Wiktionary pronunciation sections use /ə/ as expected.
