Usage

This template can be used in the "References" section of an entry to provide a citation for D. Gary Miller's External Influences on English: From its Beginnings to the Renaissance, published by Oxford University Press in 2013. No online version of this work is currently freely available.

Parameters

The template takes the following parameters:

  • |1=, |chapter= – the chapter cited, either its number in Arabic numerals (any value from |chapter=1 to |chapter=8) or manually entered.
  • |2=, |section=, or |sections= – the section number(s) cited in Arabic numerals.
  • |3=, |page=, or |pages= – the number(s) of the page(s) cited as a reference.
  • |4=, |text=, or |passage= – a passage cited from the source.
  • |nodot= – by default, the template adds a full stop (period) at the end of the citation. To suppress this punctuation, use |nodot=1 or |nodot=yes.
