The template takes the following parameters:

|1= – mandatory: the EPPO code
for a species name, the first four letters of the genus + first two letters of the species epithet.

for a genus name, a single digit (1-9) + the first four letters of the genus name + G

|2= – optional: the taxonomic name, if different from the pagename.
|noi= – optional: by default the linked term will be italicized. To disable italicization, set |noi=1.
