Usage

[edit]

Alternative: {{R:Babiniotis 2002}}

This template may be used in the "References" and "Further reading" sections of entries and on talk pages to provide a citation to various editions of Λεξικό της νέας ελληνικής γλώσσας (Dictionary of the Modern Greek Language). There are currently (2024) no online versions of the Dictionary that the template can link to.

Parameters

[edit]

The template takes the following parameters:

  • edition – this template defaults to the 2nd edition (2002), also reprint of 2005.
  • |edition= – to created templates for different edition e.g. for {{R:Babiniotis 2008}} specify |edition=3rd
  • |1= or |lemma= or |entry= – the entry in the Dictionary cited. If this is not specified, the name of the Wiktionary entry is used, unless |nolink= is used.
  • |2= or |page=, or |pages= – the page number(s) of the print version of the Dictionary on which the entry appears. When quoting a range of pages, separate the first and last pages of the range with an en dash, like this: |pages=110–111.
  • |column=, or |columns= – the column number(s) of the print version of the Dictionary cited. When quoting a range of columns, either omit the parameter or separate the columns of the range with an en dash, like this: |columns=1–2.
  • |3=, |text=, or |passage= – a passage quoted from the Dictionary.
  • |nolemma=1 or |nolink=1 or |00=- – no lemma/entry specified. Only data for the dictionary are shown.
  • |nodot= – by default, the template adds a full stop (period) at the end of the citation. To suppress this punctuation, use |nodot=1 or |nodot=yes.
