Usage

[edit]

This template may be used in "References" and "Further reading" sections, and on talk pages, to cite editions of An Abridged Dictionary of the TMRC Language.

Parameters

[edit]

The template takes the following positional or named parameters:

  • |1= or |edition= – the edition of the Dictionary to be cited.
    • |edition=1 – for the first edition published 1959.
    • |edition=2 – for the second edition published 1960.
    • |edition=web – for the 2001 online-native edition.
  • |2= or |entry= – the entry in the Dictionary to be cited. If this parameter is omitted, the template uses the name of the Wiktionary entry.
  • |3=, |text=, or |passage= – a passage quoted from the Dictionary.
  • |nodot= – by default, the template adds a full stop (period) at the end of the citation. To suppress this punctuation, use |nodot=1 or |nodot=yes.
