Disntinction to "zkušenost"

I assess there is a difference in meaning of zkušenost and zážitek, both translated into English as experience. The word zkušenost matches the German Erfahrung whereas zážitek matches the German Erlebnis. I assess the difference is that "zážitek" implies a considerable emotional component, unlike "zkušenost". However, as all this is just my assessment, I am putting this information only into discussion.

Also, there is an adjective zkušený related to zkušenost meaning experienced as applied to people. The adjective zažitý applies to subject matter to be learned. --Daniel Polansky 14:11, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
