"yit-yit" or "yit-yita"
[edit]Deadly story has eyelash as yit-yit-mirring - while 'Woiwurrung, in The Aboriginal Language of Melbourne and Other Sketches' has it as yit-yita-mirring.
The mirring seems undisputed as "eye" which makes sense etymologically. I have not been able to find a third source to correlate. JakeEwings (talk) 02:52, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
