Noun meaning in verb section?

I don't see how a verb can mean: "The current return as a percentage of the price of a stock or bond." Shouldn't this be under noun?

You are right, I moved this sense to the noun section. Unbelievably, it has been in the wrong place for five years and while 100+ edits followed this addition, nobody noticed this before (including me). Thank you. — Xavier, 14:13, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

RFV "a product" as distinct from the quantity or amount produced. I don't know if this is a dumb one -- the latter is obvious, but somehow I cannot think of a distinguishing example of the former. Mihia (talk) 20:38, 25 December 2024 (UTC)

This would be referring to constructions like "The yield of the process is [product]" as distinct from "The yield of [product] from the process is [amount]". Difficult to search for, but NED has some cites, including [1]. This, that and the other (talk) 00:39, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
