Very brief definitions
[edit]All redlinks, still? I would like to suggest that very brief definitions (even as glosses in parentheses) would be very beneficial for users ending up at this entry, and others like it. 71.66.97.228 23:37, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- Even more beneficial would be if someone were to turn the redlinks into bluelinks . . . —RuakhTALK 23:53, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, brief (concise) English definitions are necessary and very beneficial to users especially for beginners, such as this example. Engirst 10:07, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
That is another excellent suggestion. 71.66.97.228 23:59, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- yánlì is not a toneless Pinyin syllable, and it is a Pinyin word but not a Pinyin syllable. So, it should not be included in this category. Engirst 12:32, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
- It should like the example ài with brief English definition because beginners don't read Hanzi, otherwise it is useless for beginners. If users understand Hanzi, Pinyin entries are unnecessary for them. Please see here for your reference. Engirst 16:03, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- The format of this example is complicated, it is waste time to key in by this template. We may use a simple template such as
{{cmn-def}}
. Please see this example. Engirst 12:49, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
