Xiphopagus seems to have been a monster, with two bodies, in Greek mythology. The modern word is almost always used in phrases such as xiphipagus conjoined twins or conjoined xiphopagus twins and so seems to function as an adjective. If it is a singular or plural noun depends, I suppose, on whether conjoined twins are singular or plural.
