That is a very good question! (I assume you are referring to the English, not the Lojban) The references only refer to its use in writing, e.g. on the Internet. I would think "zee", /ziː/, but that is only the obvious supposition! Robert Ullmann 10:35, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

I wish to correct the record. Some people on the web believe that the world did not exist before WWW.

I invented the pronoun xe in November 1971.

It appeared in "UU World" (the Unitarian Universalist publication) on 1 May 1973. Mario Pei gave me credit on page 145 of his 1978 book, "Weasel Words".

The pronunciation is zee, as in Xerox and in xenon. Other forms of the pronoun are xes and xen.

I think it's an sino-vietnamese word. Cantonese (Jyutping) first pronounciaton of 車 is ce1 (with c sounding like ts)
