Woe! is also an interjection as the Latin vae
- You're thinking of "woh" - same sound, but not the same word. 50.152.134.182 21:50, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
Chinese word "woe"
[edit]E.g. "Bing woe" (sp) which literally translates to "soldier calamity" (according to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YF8AAJSTJoM&list=UUX6b17PVsYBQ0ip5gyeme-Q ). Since the definition of woe in english also can mean "calamity", it makes me strongly suspect the words are related. I think we should add information about words with shared roots here on wiktionary. 50.152.134.182 21:50, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
Use of the word “woe” as slang
[edit]The word “woe” can also mean “homie” or a friend of some sort so that could be added as another definition as it is beginning to gain popularity.
