I agree, but the word by itself doesn´t make you think of an angle, or does it? So it must/might have meant angle before, but it doesn´t anymore.134.58.253.130 15:02 Jun 1, 2003 (UTC)

You're right. All I meant to say is that at least one (and maybe more) Dutch words consist of winkel (meaning "angle") together with other words. The etymology of the winkel-part in those words is probably the same as German winkel. D.D. 15:38 Jun 1, 2003 (UTC)
