Talk:winge

Greetings, Wikitionary users. I was using BabelNet and when I entered 'winge' that was interpreted as 'cringe'. That made no sense to me, so I tracked down the rationale to this Wikitionary page where the Middle English reference appeared first.

I'm not even sure that the 'cringe' reference should stay at all, but am not a lexicographer. Just looking, it appears that maybe 'winge' could have meant 'wing' then, but I'm no Middle-English expert. If you are then I'll leave it to you whether it makes sense to leave in the second definition. I suspect it should be deleted. Veritas Aeterna (talk) 20:37, 27 February 2022 (UTC)

Hey Veritas Aeterna! Whenever you have doubts about a term's existence, press edit, add {{rfv-sense|en}} at the start of the sense in question (after the # and before the definition), save it and then press the little (+) in what you've just added.
