what is the definition of wiki syntax? — This comment was unsigned.
- It's the markup used to format articles on a wiki — the code you see when you edit a page. For example, I produced those links by writing [[markup]] and [[wiki]]. Equinox ◑ 04:07, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

"The process of adding wiki links to specific named entities (usu. capitalized) and other appropriate phrases in an arbitrary text (usu. news articles in current research). The automated process consists of automatic keyword extraction, word sense disambiguation, and automatically adding links to documents (or other unstructured text) to the Wikipedia or other reference."
