Trivia

[edit]

I believe trivia should be on talk pages, not in the main namespace as it's not lexical. So, waouh is apparently the only native French word with a w in it. All other words are either borrowed (watt) or derived from borrowings (washingtonien, from Washington). Renard Migrant (talk) 12:58, 9 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

It's not native; it's a Frenchified spelling of the loanword "wow" that tries to avoid the weirdness of the more French spelling "ouahou" and the clumsy misspelling / mispronunciation "wouah" of course chosen by Facebook.
