Two etymologies

I think that these should just be combined as vesperascens by it's self means drawing towards the end of day and then the ellided vesperascente caleo/dies also means drawing towards the end of day. To me this shows that vesperascens by itself still means towards end of 'day' and thus the ellison of caleo/dies is how it came to be just vesperascens.
