Etymology
[edit]How does the term "vaudeville" derive from the English term "bawdy village" when the term "vaudeville" existed in France in the late 17th century?

- That etymology looks pretty dodgy (at the very least, referring in a modern etymology to something as "a corruption" of something else is never a good sign), so I've replaced it with a Request For Etymology, but it'll probably be a good while until someone gets to it.
