@Surjection, since you were citing Finnish FWOTDs, could you please do this one too? It would be good to set for New Year's (perhaps with a slightly expanded definition). —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 00:40, 20 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

It's probably doable. SURJECTION ·talk·contr·log· 00:41, 20 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
That should do it. SURJECTION ·talk·contr·log· 01:02, 20 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Although now that I think about it, the EU banned uudenvuodentina because it was basically lead in March 2018, making 2018-2019 the first New Years in which the practice has been effectively legally thwarted. At least the FWOTD nomination would be an in memoriam for the practice... SURJECTION ·talk·contr·log· 01:26, 20 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Surjection: That's unfortunate, but it's still appropriate. Is Dec 31 the best date for it? —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 01:29, 20 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Since it is (or was?) traditionally cast on New Year's Eve, Dec 31 is preferable to Jan 1. SURJECTION ·talk·contr·log· 01:30, 20 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
