Very few results, and the results that pop up don't really align that well with the definition (nor are they durably archived). AG202 (talk) 15:14, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
- This could be worth keeping if the definition's changed. Based on the Google results, this is a real term TERFs use. Binarystep (talk) 00:38, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
- A "revenge term" from mansplain. Probably OK given our recently widened citability. Equinox ◑ 05:14, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
- Cited. Transplaining (one "s") gets nearly 3000 hits on Google. I suggest that be treated as the primary form. This is also used by trans people and allies to refer to (typically heavy-handed) attempts to explain trans issues to cis people. Rhys Ernst is a trans man, and Cole Escola is non-binary. I've roped allies into the revised definition because Lucy Bannerman (GC) used it broadly. Also used as a synonym of cissplain, though I couldn't find a third print cite.
